Stadco is a major supplier of automotive body stampings and assemblies primarily to JLR. The business was acquired by Magna International in 2015 leading to significant growth opportunities with JLR and other UK OEM’s involving both existing and new technologies. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Commercial Business Partner will be responsible for providing financial support to the Group Commercial function. Key responsibilities will involve financial evaluation of new business proposals, support commercial negotiations and strategic reports, business planning process, plus the delivery of performance tracking and reporting for the Group Commercial function. Given the requirements of the role, the Business Partner will work closely with the Commercial function and Senior Management team to ensure the key aspects of proposals and strategic projects are fully understood and compliant with Magna controls and processes. This individual will therefore be a key part of the team working to provide market competitive solutions which deliver profitable growth opportunities.

Key Requirements

Key Accountabilities • Lead the business case development & financial evaluation of new business proposals • Develop and maintain a standardised quotation database to support profitability analysis • Support the Cosma forecast and annual business planning process through; • Coordination for the provision of volume inputs and new business assumptions to the manufacturing sites • Ensure capital expenditure requirements to support new business growth opportunities are aligned to forecast inputs. • Manage all the requirements for the completion of the inputs to the Magna Corporate Sales and Capital Expenditure tracking systems to ensure timely completion and alignment with the corporate forecasts and business plans • Provide general ad-hoc support for the Commercial function including support of pricing proposals and Customer Value for Money (VFM) exercises. • Understand the drivers of manufacturing cost to support customer pricing • Support the monthly sales and operational planning process to ensure robust alignment of operational and financial aspects in the planning process • Prepare and reconcile customer and supplier claims with support of Plant and Commercial teams. • Support development of new business pipeline and ensure applied to corporate forecasting process through control and reporting processes Key Experience and Qualifications • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) • Strong excel and financial analysis skills • Strong commercial acumen • Experience of working in commercial environment, supporting sales team • Excellent reporting skills.
